1995年Club 8正式成立于瑞典，由女主唱的Karolina Komstedt（来自Poprace乐队）,和负责所有歌曲创作和乐器演奏的Johan Angerg?rd (来自Acid House Kings, Poprace乐队)，并很快与西班牙的清新独立厂牌Siesta签约，并在旗下发表了单曲《Me too》和专辑《Nouvelle》。离开Siesta之后，Club 8选择了DIY的自主之路，自行制作唱片，然后交由不同的唱片公司发行，因为这样的方式可以直抒真我情怀。此时，他们的音乐被归类为Anorak Pop，并深受传奇独立厂牌Sarah旗下的乐队、Jim Ruiz以及the Smiths的影响。
